Along with this Zone Conference's Theme of "Altar your Attitude" we learned about sacrificing everything we have to the Lord. Along our hike each missionary picked up a rock to build an altar at the end of the trail. After returning from their personal study each rock portrayed a word or scripture representing their sacrifices as missionaries.

Each missionary had some personal time where they could sit alone, ponder, and receive some revelation.

There is beauty all around when there are SISTERS there!!!

A group shot of half of the mission. We sure do love these missionaries!

Events like this create life time buddies!

With the help of our wonderful assitants we were well prepared for a transformational zone conference! (LtoR President Christison, Elder Garland, Elder Sillitoe, Elder George, and Sister Christison)

After time to themselves and a great hike, the missionaries were able to receive inspiring words from the President. He spoke about putting everything on the altar of sacrifice.

The missionaries had personal time to study and review their mission attitudes.

SURPRISE ! ! !

We had a great surprise a week ago. 2 of our grandchildren came to visit with our daughter. I had no idea they were coming, but President did. I thought I was going to the airport to pick-up sister missionaries who had a lay-over in Denver, but to my surprise they walked off the plane. They stayed for a long weekend and we enjoyed every minute together.
Kaleb surprising grandma!

Sister Christison JR

Searching high and low for anyone who will listen!!
still searching...
found one!!!
there may not be much in Grand Junction, but still searching...

The Christmas season came and went very quickly, but very enjoyable. We loved having Lance visit us and of course our time with the missionaries is always treasured. With thirteen new missionaries on New Years Day we can't wait to get this year started!

Last October, President Christison called our daughter Randee to serve a mini-mission. With only a weeks notice she faithfully packed up and drove to Grand Junction to serve as a full time missionary. Loving every second of serving in Colorado she worked hard, served many, and had experiences she will never forget. We are very grateful to her and Mason for their participation in the mission.
